There were 107 patches made. One hundred of them were numbered
sequentially and given out to members who have earned them. The remaining
7 patches did not have a number. Five of those patches were given as
plaque "gifts" and one is on the back of a "director's chair". The
remaining patch is unaccounted for.
In April of 2016 the lodge ordered another set of Ceremony Team patches
as the original stock was now almost depleted. The first run of 100 sent by
the manufacturer did not come with a plastic backing. Remembering what
happened in 1987 when a different manufacturer sold "mistakes" to
a non-Aracoma member who subsequently sold them around the country, the
lodge kept the incorrect patches and had a new run of 100 produced. This
new run was make correctly. Both sets of patches have been stocked
and will be randomly given out to those who complete the requirements
for the Ceremony Team patch. Given that both flaps will be given out
randomly the patch without the backing will be the S32-B (as it was created first)
and the second run with the plastic backing will be the S32-C.
S32-B.
