To help you with the facts I called my staff advisor, Rob Fikes, and he gave me these numbers:
The final night of the weekend we set aside 10 sets of arrowheads and patches to be auctioned of for the next five years. One set will be made available to youth only and the other for adults and youth. These funds will be put into our lodge's account. Our LEC had already predetermined that we would burn all remaining patches to ensure the funds will be put into our lodge's account. Our LEC had already predetermined that we would burn all remaining patches to ensure the value of the patches and to protect them from inflation. That night at the closing campfire after ensuring that every one received an arrowhead, we burned the rest of the arrowheads. At dinner we allowed people to the opportunity to purchase one more flap, but not the arrowhead. The rest of those were burned as well.
The total number of Arrowheads in circulation comes to 175, counting the ten that are to be sold over the next ten years. The number of flaps is not as easy to put an exact figure on, but we estimate no more than 500.
On behalf of my lodge I want to extend my thanks again for interest in our lodge's unique activity.
Thanks- James Sexton
