Aracoma hosted the Section Conclave at Camp Horne, April 24-26, 1987. Seventy-five members of the Lodge served as host corps for the Conclave. The members of Aracoma decided to dedicate the Conclave to Mr. Edgar Christopher. Mr. Christopher served as Scout Executive for the Black Warrior Council in 1952, and helped to organize the Lodge. Mr. Christopher was also one of the Lodge's first Vigil Honor members.
