On the weekend of April 13-15, 1956, Aracoma hosted the 1956
Area V-A conference at Camp Horne, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Thirty
members of Aracoma served as host corps Bobby Pugh of Aracoma
won a trophy for designing the conference patch. Aracoma held
a discussion on "Camping and Service Projects", conducted a
workshop on "Advanced Indian Dancing", and performed the "Blackfoot
Medicine Dance". Alpha Phi Omega members from the University
of Alabama gave a talk on Scouting in college.
