Twenty-three members of Aracoma attended the 1953 V-A Conference,
April 24-26, 1953, at Pensacola, Florida. At the Conference Aracoma
demonstrated the Pre-Ordeal Ceremony and led a discussion on "Lodge
Social Activity". Tom Adams, Aracoma's Lodge Chief, was elected as
Area Vice-Chief for the 1954 Conference. Tom also won the contest to
name the Area V-A Bulletin, and received a trophy with all the V-A
Lodge patches. His winning suggestion was "The Quiver." The quiver
represents the Area, and the six arrows in the quiver represents the
Area Lodges.
