Yustaga: The first area conference was held in 1952. Yustaga hosted the V-A
conference in 1953 at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. The lodge's
first Vigil Honor member was inducted there: Richard Ploss was named,
"HUN DA YE'LI" (White Quiver).

Aracoma: The Charter Members of Aracoma received their Ordeal May 16-18, 1952
at the first Area V-A Conference held at Camp Tukabatchee in Montgomery,
Alabama. The charter members were:

  • Mack Sims, Moundville
  • Gene Moore, Greensboro
  • Joe Sandlin, Tuscaloosa
  • John Paepcke, Tuscaloosa
  • Al Henderson, Tuscaloosa
  • Charles Christopher, Tuscaloosa
  • Parker Hannah, Tuscaloosa

    After receiving its charter on August 4 Aracoma held its first Ordeal
    at its council camp, Camp Horne August 9, 1952. Members from Choctaw
    Lodge #193 of Meridian, Mississippi conducted the Ordeal ceremony.
